The over the past year so much has happened in my life, I have began a new job, lost a very close loved one, moved into a new place and now I am finally focused on my journey to a better me. I hope that my blogging about my emotional, physical, and mental recovery will influence others.

A True Addition, Can't Put It Down
I bought this book after seeing it on soshewritesbymissdre blog a while ago. I have been so busy with work and grad school that I haven't gotten a chance to read much. Finally over the weekend I remembered it was on my shelf and decided to start reading it. When I say from the first page I read of this book I could not put it down. I mean I almost burned Sunday dinner because of this book. I highly suggest reading this book. Tiffany Warren is a great author and she wrote this novel very well.

MY NEW OBSESSION
I have been on my hair journey for about two years. I have not been as regimented as before, but most recently I came across a blog post by keepitsimplesista. She stated how doing black tea rinses on your hair can dramatically decrease shedding. I was little skeptical at first, but once I attempted, within a week I was already noticing results. My shedding was instantly reduced. For detailed instructions definitely go and check out her blog and tell me how it works for you.

Distance
It has been forever since I have posted on my blog. I have been so busy with work, but I am determined to get back in the groove of the things and start blogging some more. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Trying to get along with the scale
Throughout the past year I have trying to lose about 30 pounds. I have successful lost about 15. With the last 15 pounds to go the journey seems harder than when I lost the first 15 pounds. Why, I am not sure? I recently joined Weight watchers, about 2 months ago to be exact. Weight watchers has always had this connotation that everyone who joins is obese or severely overweight, which is not true. My main reason for joining weight watchers was to learn to eat healthier and not eat salads all day. It is teaching me that I can eat my Frito Pie or my Pinot Grigio and that I do not have to deny myself of the foods I love. It means that it just has to be done in moderation. When I go shopping now I have began to buy outfits that are a size smaller to entice me to lose the weight. I am hoping by the new year to have the weight shed. Wish me Luck
